Over 500 NCC cadets in Indore for national integrity camp

More than 500 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from 13 different states are camping at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya in the city to study the country's varied culture and traditions.

INDORE: More than 500 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from 13 different states are camping at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya in the city to study the country's varied culture and traditions.
"In all, 346 boys and 179 girls from states including, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Assam, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Maharashtra are participating in the national integrity camp," said group commander Brigadier VS Saini.

The programme will comprise dance, skits and songs, added Saini.
"We have already visited Lal Bagh Palace, Ujjain and Chappan, food of Indore is really great," said 18-year-old, Akash Singh Solanki from Gwalior. Student of arts, Ashish Sharma said, "NCC is a place for passionate people, and this ten- day experience will make us learn about different cultures from East to West and North to South."
"We are learning a lot about people, their diverse cultures and different languages. It's a great experience," said student of mechanical engineering, from Jabalpur, Ayushi Dubey.
Engineering student, Paridhi Giriya, is excited to leave for Mandu on January 26 after the flag-hosting ceremony and cultural programme. She said, "Parents should always support their children in their career related decisions. Indore is a beautiful place and so are its people."
